Before the first European settlers arrived, the Comanche as well as several other Native American tribes lived in Cibolo. The name Cibolo  means "buffalo" in Native American language. The community was first established when the Southern Pacific Railroad cut through the area en route to major cities like Houston and  San Antonio. Over time, Cibolo developed into the suburb it is today.

The Schertz/Cibolo area enjoys a convenient location just north of San Antonio proper, with good schools and amenities galore.

Things to do:

A very short drive to so many fantastic attractions to the north such as music venues, river activities, hiking, wine tasting, & shopping, and everything San Antonio has to offer to the south.
